There is both a public and private education system in Canada.
Canada is well-known for its cultural diversity and beautiful nature. There are 26 Canadian universities appeared in the Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings 2019 and the QS World University Rankings 2021 out of which 3 are included in the global top 50. Additionally, 11 more universities are included in the world’ top 300. The most popular study destinations among Indian students are Ontario and British Columbia.

The admission criteria are different from country to country and institution to institution. There are certain requirements and procedures to be done to get an admission in any university or college.
All the students must complete minimum 12th grade to get an admission at an undergraduate level in Canada. The candidates should possess atleast 55% in 12th grade to gain an admission in majority of the institutions. The basic checklist for any undergraduate level education is as follows:
A candidate should minimum possess bachelor’s degree or equivalent to that to be eligible for any post bachelor’s courses. A minimum of 60% is required for the candidate to get an admission in majority of the institutions in Canada. Along with the other documents mentioned above individual semesters or yearly marks card, course completion and degree certificate is required to attain an admission.
The most commonly accepted English proficiency test in Canada are IELTS, TOEFL and PTE. The scores required vary from course of study and institution to institution. With the latest implementation of Student Direct Stream (SDS) Visa applications it is important to have 6 band individually for IELTS and 51-58 for PTE. Candidates with below the par score are still eligible for applying under general category or non SDS Visa category.
Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs: $ 14,000 - $ 16,000 (CAD)
Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree: $14,000 - $ 22,000 (CAD)
Scholarship: Provided to candidates with academic excellence (provide up to a maximum $ 7500/year to a maximum of 4 years, as scholarship)
Cost of Living: $ 10,000 CAD for the first year of study.
