Malta is a small island, but it still has various institutions, both public and private, that offer graduate programs to international students. Most institutions run graduate programs across various subjects, although some are more specialist – focusing for example on tourism, technology or arts.
The Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) is the official degree recognition body that recognizes qualifications. It recognizes both academic and vocational qualifications. It also helps to recognize the Maltese qualifications abroad. Various types are:
The undergraduate program or Bachelor degree courses take three years to complete. The academic year comprises two semesters that generally begins in October. However individual university has set its own academic schedule Admission Criteria

All the students must complete minimum 12th grade to get an admission at an undergraduate level in Malta. Majority of the institutions require a candidate to possess at least 55% for their 12th grade.
A candidate should minimum possess bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent to that to be eligible for any post bachelor’s courses. Generally, an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with least of 5.5 in Reading & writing is acceptable.
However, Postgraduate applicant’s, who have completed their Bachelor’s degree via English taught program or who have previously worked in an English-speaking environment may be exempted from the standard English Language Requirement on a case-by-case criterion. For such an exemption, a confirmation letter about the English medium previous study will be required.
Both the study and living cost is quite affordable in Malta as compared to other European countries. The tuition fees, dorm rent, food, entertainment and general living is quite economical plus the country allows the international graduate to stay in Malta and look for work further.
Non-EU students enrolled in a higher education course for more than 90 days will also be allowed to work 20 hours a week, and international graduates will be able to extend their stay in Malta for six months after graduation to look for work
